The following areas have been identified as priorities for the Castle Pines West Commercial Area, please indicate each area that your project may address. Select all that apply.

Support Beautification and Safety - Designs that emphasize the human scale and center the experience on pedestrians. Improve pedestrian circulation with trails, sidewalks, and additional mobility options. Consistent architectural character with compatible colors, scale, form, and materials.Community Improvements (Landscaping, Utilities, Infrastructure, etc.) - Use landscaping to complement and soften non-residential development, provide buffering, screening, and shade. Include a broad range of civic, cultural, and community-building spaces that facilitate events and activities. Support and invest in road and transportation projects that benefit the entire commercial zone.Opportunities for Diverse Commercial Uses - Include opportunities for a diverse variety of retail, restaurant, service, and grocery needs and infrastructure among commercial spaces. Improve shared parking access to serve simultaneous use of retail, office, and civic uses.Increase Business Retention - Support and cultivate reinvestment and redevelopment that accommodates existing businesses and adaptive reuse of under-performing or vacant commercial properties.Promote Infill + Redevelopment Opportunities - Assess the experience and accessibility of getting to and around the Castle Pines West Commercial area as a local or visitor. Focuses on multi‐modal infrastructure and access in and around the downtown including parking, gateways, walkability, rideability, wayfinding + signage, etc.Creative Placemaking - Establish a sense of place through the strategic integration of art, the environment, design, recreation, and cultural activities. Engage locals to produce authentic and distinctive planning and development programming programs directed at local love of place. Create a connection to the community's sense of identity through visible symbols, messaging, and activities.
